    Bagan was not accepted as UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the damage caused by authorities during unprofessional archeological restoration and during modifications made to accommodate the tourist business.

We have established Myanmar Tourism Watch where we collect concrete cases of bad practice. Only with sufficient data about the situation on the ground can we have convincing arguments to promote change.
